We came here on a Tuesday evening and were very surprised to see how busy they were! we had previously made reservations, which helps greatly because these oceanfront locations do tend to book quick. One thing to also note is parking. I've been to a few oceanfront restaurants, and like this one, they only offer valet. Make sure to bring some cash for tip too! these guys work very hard playing the game of Tetris with our cars all evening. Now, the location is AMAZING! smack dab on the beach where you can walk from the front door right on to the sand in a matter of steps. We were greeted by wonderful hosts and hostesses when we walked in, and they honored my request to sit by the window with the beach view. If you ask for this, please note that you could wait a little longer past your reservation as they wait for a table to become open in that area. You must be patient, but its worth it! Our server was cheerful and very knowledgeable of the menu. I attached photos of what we ordered, but let me tell you... that sushi? may be some of the best sushi i've had in SD. It was SO fresh tasting, every part of it. If you take one recommendation from me, just try the sushi. Food came out relatively quickly even though it was busy, and we loved it all! we will definitely be visiting again soon!

Oh my gosh, this place is just amazing. I love being so close to the water and this is become my favorite restaurant and all of San Diego county because of the location location location. The first floor is nice, but the second floor is astounding (In my opinion) the menu is so unique and different. It's, just wonderful

This place is so cute, clean and serves the best view of the beach. They have an outside (downstairs and upstairs) seating. Love that they offer valet. Jenna provided excellent service, she alone gets 5 stars. Ordered their fish and chips, with a side of a jalapeño margarita. Both very delicious. Although the fish lacked a little bit of flavor it's still worth ordering. Definitely would love to come back and try more stuff off the menu.

This is hands-down the best ocean-side restaurant we've found in the area. An excellent, chef-crafted menu, professional servers, great ambiance and views, and an excellent drink menu provide the right ingredients for a nice evening out. What we had: - White Truffle House-Cut Kennebec Fries (4/5): Very tasty. Mild truffle flavor. - Beets and Pear salad (4.5/5): Excellent salad! Well crafted. - Seafood Pasta (4.75/5): This dish hit all the marks. Generous amounts of seafood. Excellent sauce with a unique smoked tomato flavor. Great dish. - Miso-Glazed Chilean Seabass (4.25/5): Very well executed. Nice balance of flavors. Bok choy was braised well. Fish cooked beautifully. Not a heavy meal. - Bread Pudding (4.5/5): If you are going for dessert, get this. Just excellent. - Oaxaca Old Fashioned (4.75/5): Loved this drink. Very tasty! A couple of other things: - Valet service is provided for $8. - Heaters outside on the patio worked very well. It was almost too warm for this cool day.

Breathtaking View, Excellent Service, Wonderful Ambiance Pacific Coast Grill blew my breath away. It was the only waterfront restaurant that had availability on a short notice but it is a 2hr drive from LA. The drive wasn't an issue for us as we loved the views on PCH. The table: - Request upstairs balcony for the closest view to the water while being able to see people walking by from above, request the table closest to the window for even more intimacy. The staff fulfilled all my requests with a smile. - Our reservation was at 5:15pm which was perfect to see the sunny day transition to a sunset. So romantic! They also bring out heat lamps as the sun goes down, so a heavy jacket isn't needed. Food: We tried everything so you don't have to! -Calamari: Beautiful breaded with a spicy mayo sauce, cuts were slightly on the thicker side. 9/10 -Shrimp dumplings: the highlight of the evening. Sweet, savory, juicy, with a red wine sauce. Absolutely impeccable 10/10 -Dungeness Crab Cakes: Not my favorite but boyfriend loved it. When I think of a crab cake I think light and flaky, this one was more thick and deep fried, a little greasy. 7/10 -Cardiff Roll: Great quality ingredients but kinda flavorless 6/10 -Sunshine Roll: Beautifully crafted. Sweet and salty with filling coconut shrimp center. My favorite 10/10 -Coconut Crab Crusted Mahi Mahi: This dish has very strong curry, umami, coconut flavor. My Bf wasn't a fan he felt it was a bit chaotic, but others may find this dish interesting! 4/10 -Lobster Tail: Delicious, fresh, and juicy. The highlight for me was the side vegetables that had so much flavor. I may ask for extra seasoning on my lobster and for it to be blackened or seared next time for a little extra flavor. 8/10 -Dulce de Leche Crème Brûlée: Amazing desert, crispy, and sweet custard. 8/10 -Coconut Cheese Cake: This was a modern deconstructed cheese cake with a graham cracker on the side, a little bland, not my favorite 4/10 Overall Pacific Coast Grill is an excellent restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. They make you feel extremely valued as a customer and provide an unmatched view and vibe! One star was deducted because I wanted more flavor from a few dishes. But I would love to try the expansive Vegetarian menu upon my return!

We hosted a little cocktail hour for our clients and ordered a few apps. All of the food was really yummy. But the real star of the show is their location right over the water. You can sit outside on the patio listening to the crashing of the waves on the rocks below, sipping on your espresso martini with your favorite people. I'd 100% recommend this spot for your next corporate event or family dinner. Definitely a great celebratory place!

Had dinner here with a group of eight of us. We attempted to make a reservation but due to the size of our group, they weren't able to seat us until 7pm, which is really late for me to be having dinner...but what are you going to do? Our server, John, was great. Very accommodating to the various shifts and changes that our group presented to him. They all did cocktails and wine and I ordered a bottle of Pellegrino. $9.50 for a 25.3 oz bottle! I can purchase a whole case at Costco for not much more than that. I shared the Ahi Poke Tower with a friend and we both loved it! It was full of crab and ahi with a not-to-spicy mayo. It cake with some crispy chips that completed the savory taste of this appetizer. Others also had the Mixed Organic Greens, which were fresh and served with bits of cranberry, almonds and they held the blue cheese. Said it was a good salad. Also ordered the lobster and shrimp chowder, which I was told had a great taste, was a bit too thick, but overall a good choice. For the main dish I had the Pacific Paella. Always a sucker for Paella! And this didn't disappoint! It was full of lobster, mahi, clams, scallops, shrimp with the best saffron rice to round it out. The sauce was flavorful and rich and the fish was cooked to perfection. Would order this again in a heart beat!!! Others also had the Scallops (given a 5+ review), the Halibut (given a 4 review), and the Moonlight Roll (given a 4 review). Overall we were impressed with both the service and the food. It's a bit on the pricey side but you get what you paid for, is my take. So worth it and thanks for a beautiful dinner for all of us!
